Curtains of Linen

1 "Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet material; you shall make them with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman.1 Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubim of cunning work shalt thou make them.1 Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains; of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, with cherubim the work of the skilful workman shalt thou make them.1 And thou shalt make the tabernacle in this manner: Thou shalt make ten curtains of fine twisted linen, and violet and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, diversified with embroidery. 1 And thou dost make the tabernacle: ten curtains of twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet; with cherubs, work of a designer, thou dost make them;
2 "The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; all the curtains shall have the same measurements.2 The length of one curtain shall be eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and every one of the curtains shall have one measure.2 The length of each curtain shall be eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits: all the curtains shall have one measure.2 The length of one curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, the breadth shall be four cubits. All the curtains shall be of one measure. 2 the length of the one curtain is eight and twenty by the cubit, and the breadth of the one curtain four by the cubit, one measure is to all the curtains;
3 "Five curtains shall be joined to one another, and the other five curtains shall be joined to one another.3 The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.3 Five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and the other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.3 Five curtains shall be joined one to another, and the other five shall be coupled together in like manner. 3 five of the curtains are joining one unto another, and five curtains are joining one to another.
4 "You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and likewise you shall make them on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second set.4 And thou shalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shalt thou make in the uttermost edge of another curtain, in the coupling of the second.4 And thou shalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shalt thou make in the edge of the curtain that is outmost in the second coupling.4 Thou shalt make loops of violet in the sides and tops of the curtains, that they may be joined one to another. 4 'And thou hast made loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain, at the end in the joining; and so thou makest in the edge of the outermost curtain, in the joining of the second.
5 "You shall make fifty loops in the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is in the second set; the loops shall be opposite each other.5 Fifty loops shalt thou make in the one curtain, and fifty loops shalt thou make in the edge of the curtain that is in the coupling of the second; that the loops may take hold one of another.5 Fifty loops shalt thou make in the one curtain, and fifty loops shalt thou make in the edge of the curtain that is in the second coupling; the loops shall be opposite one to another.5 Every curtain shall have fifty loops on both sides, so set on, that one loop may be against another loop, and one may be fitted to the other. 5 fifty loops thou dost make in the one curtain, and fifty loops thou dost make in the edge of the curtain which is in the joining of the second, causing the loops to take hold one unto another;

6 "You shall make fifty clasps of gold, and join the curtains to one another with the clasps so that the tabernacle will be a unit.6 And thou shalt make fifty taches of gold, and couple the curtains together with the taches: and it shall be one tabernacle.6 And thou shalt make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains one to another with the clasps: and the tabernacle shall be one whole .6 Thou shalt make also fifty rings of gold wherewith the veils of the curtains are to be joined, that it may be made one tabernacle. 6 and thou hast made fifty hooks of gold, and hast joined the curtains one to another by the hooks, and the tabernacle hath been one.
Curtains of Goats’ Hair
7 "Then you shall make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you shall make eleven curtains in all.7 And thou shalt make curtains of goats' hair to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make.7 And thou shalt make curtains of goats hair for a tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make them.7 Thou shalt make also eleven curtains of goats' hair, to cover the top of the tabernacle. 7 And thou hast made curtains of goats' hair, for a tent over the tabernacle; thou dost make eleven curtains:
8 "The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains shall have the same measurements.8 The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure.8 The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits: the eleven curtains shall have one measure.8 The length of one hair curtain shall be thirty cubits: and the breadth four: the measure of all the curtains shall be equal. 8 the length of the one curtain is thirty by the cubit, and the breadth of the one curtain four by the cubit; one measure is to the eleven curtains;
9 "You shall join five curtains by themselves and the other six curtains by themselves, and you shall double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent.9 And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shalt double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle.9 And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shalt double over the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tent.9 Five of which thou shalt couple by themselves, and the six others thou shalt couple one to another, so as to double the sixth curtain in the front of the roof. 9 and thou hast joined the five curtains apart, and the six curtains apart, and hast doubled the six curtains over-against the front of the tent.
10 "You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the first set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second set.10 And thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.10 And thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops upon the edge of the curtain which is outmost in the second coupling.10 Thou shalt make also fifty loops in the edge of one curtain, that it may be joined with the other: and fifty loops in the edge of the other curtain, that it may be coupled with its fellow. 10 'And thou hast made fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain, the outermost in the joining, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain which is joining the second;

11 "You shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and you shall put the clasps into the loops and join the tent together so that it will be a unit.11 And thou shalt make fifty taches of brass, and put the taches into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.11 And thou shalt make fifty clasps of brass, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.11 Thou shalt make also fifty buckles of brass, wherewith the loops may be joined, that of all there may be made one covering. 11 and thou hast made fifty hooks of brass, and hast brought in the hooks into the loops, and hast joined the tent, and it hath been one.
12 "The overlapping part that is left over in the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that is left over, shall lap over the back of the tabernacle.12 And the remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle.12 And the overhanging part that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.12 And that which shall remain of the curtains, that are prepared for the roof, to wit, one curtain that is over and above, with the half thereof thou shalt cover the back parts of the tabernacle. 12 'And the superfluity in the curtains of the tent -- the half of the curtain which is superfluous -- hath spread over the hinder part of the tabernacle;
13 "The cubit on one side and the cubit on the other, of what is left over in the length of the curtains of the tent, shall lap over the sides of the tabernacle on one side and on the other, to cover it.13 And a cubit on the one side, and a cubit on the other side of that which remaineth in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.13 And the cubit on the one side, and the cubit on the other side, of that which remaineth in the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.13 And there shall hang down a cubit on the one side, and another on the other side, which is over and above in the length of the curtains, fencing both sides of the tabernacle. 13 and the cubit on this side, and the cubit on that, in the superfluity in the length of the curtains of the tent, is spread out over the sides of the tabernacle, on this and on that, to cover it;
14 "You shall make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red and a covering of porpoise skins above.14 And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers' skins.14 And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams'skins dyed red, and a covering of sealskins above.14 Thou shalt make also another cover to the roof, of rams' skins dyed red; and over that again another cover of violet coloured skins. 14 and thou hast made a covering for the tent, of rams' skins made red, and a covering of badgers' skins above.
Boards and Sockets
15 "Then you shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright.15 And thou shalt make boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood standing up.15 And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing up.15 Thou shalt make also the boards of the tabernacle standing upright of setim wood. 15 'And thou hast made the boards for the tabernacle, of shittim wood, standing up;

16 "Ten cubits shall be the length of each board and one and a half cubits the width of each board.16 Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board.16 Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each board.16 Let every one of them be ten cubits in length, and in breadth on cubit and a half. 16 ten cubits is the length of the board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of the one board;
17 "There shall be two tenons for each board, fitted to one another; thus you shall do for all the boards of the tabernacle.17 Two tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: thus shalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle.17 Two tenons shall there be in each board, joined one to another: thus shalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle.17 In the sides of the boards shall be made two mortises, whereby one board may be joined to another board: and after this manner shall all the boards be prepared. 17 two handles are to the one board, joined one unto another; so thou dost make for all the boards of the tabernacle;
18 "You shall make the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side.18 And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the south side southward.18 And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards for the south side southward.18 Of which twenty shall be in the south side southward. 18 and thou hast made the boards of the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side southward;
19 "You shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards, two sockets under one board for its two tenons and two sockets under another board for its two tenons;19 And thou shalt make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.19 And thou shalt make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.19 For which thou shalt cast forty sockets of silver, that under every board may be put two sockets at the two corners. 19 and forty sockets of silver thou dost make under the twenty boards, two sockets under the one board for its two handles, and two sockets under the other board for its two handles.
20 and for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards,20 And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side there shall be twenty boards:20 And for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards,20 In the second side also the tabernacle that looketh to the north, there shall be twenty boards, 20 And for the second side of the tabernacle, for the north side, are twenty boards,

22 "For the rear of the tabernacle, to the west, you shall make six boards.22 And for the sides of the tabernacle westward thou shalt make six boards.22 And for the hinder part of the tabernacle westward thou shalt make six boards.22 But on the west side of the tabernacle thou shalt make six boards. 22 And for the sides of the tabernacle westward, thou dost make six boards.
23 "You shall make two boards for the corners of the tabernacle at the rear.23 And two boards shalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.23 And two boards shalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle in the hinder part.23 And again other two which shall be erected in the corners at the back of the tabernacle. 23 And two boards thou dost make for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.
24 "They shall be double beneath, and together they shall be complete to its top to the first ring; thus it shall be with both of them: they shall form the two corners.24 And they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.24 And they shall be double beneath, and in like manner they shall be entire unto the top thereof unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.24 And they shall be joined together from beneath unto the top, and one joint shall hold them all. The like joining shall be observed for the two boards also that are to be put in the corners. 24 And they are pairs beneath, and together they are pairs above its head unto the one ring; so is it for them both, they are for the two corners.
25 "There shall be eight boards with their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board.25 And they shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.25 And there shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.25 And they shall be in all eight boards, and their silver sockets sixteen, reckoning two sockets for each board. 25 And they have been eight boards, and their sockets of silver are sixteen sockets, two sockets under the one board, and two sockets under another board.

27 and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle for the rear side to the west.27 And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the two sides westward.27 and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the hinder part westward.27 And five others on the other side, and as many at the west side: 27 and five bars for the boards of the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle at the two sides, westward;
28 "The middle bar in the center of the boards shall pass through from end to end.28 And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end.28 And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall pass through from end to end.28 And they shall be put along by the midst of the boards from one end to the other. 28 and one hath caused the middle bar in the midst of the boards to reach from end unto end;
29 "You shall overlay the boards with gold and make their rings of gold as holders for the bars; and you shall overlay the bars with gold.29 And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars with gold.29 And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars with gold.29 The boards also themselves thou shalt overlay with gold, and shall cast rings of gold to be set upon them, for places for the bars to hold together boardwork: which bars thou shalt cover with plates of gold. 29 and the boards thou dost overlay with gold, and their rings thou dost make of gold places for bars, and hast overlaid their bars with gold;
30 "Then you shall erect the tabernacle according to its plan which you have been shown in the mountain.30 And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was showed thee in the mount.30 And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which hath been showed thee in the mount.30 And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the pattern that was shewn thee in the mount. 30 and thou hast raised up the tabernacle according to its fashion which thou hast been shewn in the mount.
The Veil and Screen

31 "You shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen; it shall be made with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman.31 And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubim shall it be made:31 And thou shalt make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubim the work of the skilful workman shall it be made.31 Thou shalt make also a veil of violet and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen, wrought with embroidered work, and goodly variety: 31 And thou hast made a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of a designer; he maketh it with cherubs;
32 "You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks also being of gold, on four sockets of silver.32 And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.32 And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold; their hooks'shall be of gold, upon four sockets of silver.32 And thou shalt hang it up before four pillars of setim wood, which themselves also shall be overlaid with gold, and shall have heads of gold, but sockets of silver. 32 and thou hast put it on four pillars of shittim wood, overlaid with gold, their pegs are of gold, on four sockets of silver.
33 "You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in the ark of the testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall serve for you as a partition between the holy place and the holy of holies.33 And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.33 And thou shalt hang up the veil under the clasps, and shalt bring in thither within the veil the ark of the testimony: and the veil shall separate unto you between the holy place and the most holy.33 And the veils shall be hanged on with rings, and within it thou shalt put the ark of the testimony, and the sanctuary, and the holy of holies shall be divided with it. 33 'And thou hast put the vail under the hooks, and hast brought in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony; and the vail hath made a separation for you between the holy and the holy of holies.
34 "You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies.34 And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.34 And thou shalt put the mercy-seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.34 And thou shalt set the propitiatory upon the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies. 34 'And thou hast put the mercy-seat on the ark of the testimony, in the holy of holies.
35 "You shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; and you shall put the table on the north side.35 And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.35 And thou shalt set the table without the veil, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.35 And the table without the veil: and over against the table the candlestick in the south side of the tabernacle; for the table shall stand in the north side. 35 'And thou hast set the table at the outside of the vail, and the candlestick over-against the table on the side of the tabernacle southward, and the table thou dost put on the north side.

37 "You shall make five pillars of acacia for the screen and overlay them with gold, their hooks also being of gold; and you shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.37 And thou shalt make for the hanging five pillars of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, and their hooks shall be of gold: and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them.37 And thou shalt make for the screen five pillars of acacia, and overlay them with gold: their hooks shall be of gold: and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them.37 And thou shalt overlay with gold five pillars of setim wood, before which the hanging shall be drawn: their heads shall be of gold, and the sockets of brass. 37 and thou hast made for the covering five pillars of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them with gold, their pegs are of gold, and thou hast cast for them five sockets of brass.
