2 "And you, son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre;2 Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;2 And thou, son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre;2 Thou therefore, O son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre: 2 'And thou, son of man, lift up concerning Tyre a lamentation, and thou hast said to Tyre:
3 and say to Tyre, who dwells at the entrance to the sea, merchant of the peoples to many coastlands, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "O Tyre, you have said, 'I am perfect in beauty.'3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.3 and say unto Tyre, O thou that dwellest at the entry of the sea, that art the merchant of the peoples unto many isles, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, O Tyre, hast said, I am perfect in beauty.3 And say to Tyre that dwelleth at the entry of the sea, being the mart of the people for many islands: Thus saith the Lord God: O Tyre, thou hast said: I am of perfect beauty, 3 O dweller on the entrances of the sea, Merchant of the peoples unto many isles, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: O Tyre, thou -- thou hast said: I am the perfection of beauty.
4 "Your borders are in the heart of the seas; Your builders have perfected your beauty.4 Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.4 Thy borders are in the heart of the seas; thy builders have perfected thy beauty.4 And situate in the heart of the sea. Thy neighbours, that built thee, have perfected thy beauty: 4 In the heart of the seas are thy borders, Thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
5 "They have made all your planks of fir trees from Senir; They have taken a cedar from Lebanon to make a mast for you.5 They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.5 They have made all thy planks of fir-trees from Senir; they have taken a cedar from Lebanon to make a mast for thee.5 With fir trees of Sanir they have built thee with all sea planks: they have taken cedars from Libanus to make thee masts. 5 Of firs of Senir they have built to thee all thy double-boarded ships, Of cedars of Lebanon they have taken to make a mast for thee,

6 "Of oaks from Bashan they have made your oars; With ivory they have inlaid your deck of boxwood from the coastlands of Cyprus.6 Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.6 Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; they have made thy benches of ivory inlaid in boxwood, from the isles of Kittim.6 They have cut thy oars out of the oaks of Basan: and they have made thee benches of Indian ivory and cabins with things brought from the islands of Italy. 6 Of oaks of Bashan they made thine oars, Thy bench they have made of ivory, A branch of Ashurim from isles of Chittim.
7 "Your sail was of fine embroidered linen from Egypt So that it became your distinguishing mark; Your awning was blue and purple from the coastlands of Elishah.7 Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.7 Of fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was thy sail, that it might be to thee for an ensign; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was thine awning.7 Fine broidered linen from Egypt was woven for thy sail, to be spread on thy mast: blue and purple from the islands of Elisa, were made thy covering. 7 Of fine linen with embroidery from Egypt hath been thy sail, To be to thee for an ensign, Of blue and purple from isles of Elishah hath been thy covering.
8 "The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your rowers; Your wise men, O Tyre, were aboard; they were your pilots.8 The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.8 The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were thy rowers: thy wise men, O Tyre, were in thee, they were thy pilots.8 The inhabitants of Sidon, and the Arabians were thy rowers : thy wise men, O Tyre, were thy pilots. 8 Inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad have been rowers to thee, Thy wise men, O Tyre, have been in thee, They are thy pilots.
9 "The elders of Gebal and her wise men were with you repairing your seams; All the ships of the sea and their sailors were with you in order to deal in your merchandise.9 The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise.9 The old men of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to deal in thy merchandise.9 The ancients of Gebal, and the wise men thereof furnished mariners for the service of thy various furniture: all the ships of the sea, and their mariners were thy factors. 9 Elders of Gebal and its wise men have been in thee, Strengthening thy breach; All ships of the sea and their mariners, Have been in thee, to trade with thy merchandise.
10 "Persia and Lud and Put were in your army, your men of war. They hung shield and helmet in you; they set forth your splendor.10 They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.10 Persia and Lud and Put were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.10 The Persians, and Lydians, and the Libyans were thy soldiers in thy army: they hung up the buckler and the helmet in thee for thy ornament. 10 Persian and Lud and Phut Have been in thy forces -- thy men of war. 14 "Those from Beth-togarmah gave horses and war horses and mules for your wares.14 They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.14 They of the house of Togarmah traded for thy wares with horses and war-horses and mules.14 From the house of Thogorma they brought horses, and horsemen, and mules to thy market. 14 They of the house of Togarmah, For horses, and riding steeds, and mules, They have given out thy remnants.
15 "The sons of Dedan were your traders. Many coastlands were your market; ivory tusks and ebony they brought as your payment.15 The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.15 The men of Dedan were thy traffickers; many isles were the mart of thy hand: they brought thee in exchange horns of ivory and ebony.15 The men of Dedan were thy merchants: many islands were the traffic of thy hand, they exchanged for thy price teeth of ivory and ebony. 15 Sons of Dedan are thy merchants, Many isles are the mart of thy hand, Horns of ivory and ebony they sent back thy reward.

18 "Damascus was your customer because of the abundance of your goods, because of the abundance of all kinds of wealth, because of the wine of Helbon and white wool.18 Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.18 Damascus was thy merchant for the multitude of thy handiworks, by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches, with the wine of Helbon, and white wool.18 The men of Damascus were thy merchants in the multitude of thy works, in the multitude of divers riches, in rich wine, in wool of the best colour. 18 Damascus is thy merchant, For the abundance of thy works, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 "Vedan and Javan paid for your wares from Uzal; wrought iron, cassia and sweet cane were among your merchandise.19 Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.19 Vedan and Javan traded with yarn for thy wares: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were among thy merchandise.19 Dan, and Greece, and Mosel have set forth in thy marts wrought iron: stacte, and calamus were in thy market. 19 Vedan and Javan go about with thy remnants, They have given shining iron, cassia, and cane, In thy merchandise it hath been.
20 "Dedan traded with you in saddlecloths for riding.20 Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.20 Dedan was thy trafficker in precious cloths for riding.20 The men of Dedan were thy merchants in tapestry for seats. 20 Dedan is thy merchant, For clothes of freedom for riding.

25 "The ships of Tarshish were the carriers for your merchandise. 29 "All who handle the oar, The sailors and all the pilots of the sea Will come down from their ships; They will stand on the land,29 And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;29 And all that handled the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand upon the land,29 And all that handled the oar shall come down from their ships: the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea shall stand upon the land: 29 And come down from their ships have all handling an oar, Mariners, all the pilots of the sea, on the land they stand,
30 And they will make their voice heard over you And will cry bitterly. As the cut-off one in the midst of the sea?
