Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men | 1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; | 1 Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; Preserve me from the violent man: | 1 Unto the end, a psalm for David. Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: rescue me from the unjust man. | 1 To the Overseer. -- A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O Jehovah, from an evil man, From one of violence Thou keepest me. | 2 Who devise evil things in their hearts; They continually stir up wars. | 2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. | 2 Who devise mischiefs in their heart; Continually do they gather themselves together for war. | 2 Who have devised iniquities in their hearts: all the day long they designed battles. | 2 Who have devised evils in the heart, All the day they assemble for wars. | 3 They sharpen their tongues as a serpent; Poison of a viper is under their lips. Selah. | 3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. | 3 They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent; Adders poison is under their lips. | 11 "May a slanderer not be established in the earth; May evil hunt the violent man speedily." | 11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. | 11 An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. | 11 A man full of tongue shall not be established in the earth: evil shall catch the unjust man unto destruction. | 11 A talkative man is not established in the earth, One of violence -- evil hunteth to overflowing. | 12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted And justice for the poor. | 12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. | 12 I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And justice for the needy. | 12 I know that the Lord will do justice to the needy, and will revenge the poor. | 12 I have known that Jehovah doth execute The judgment of the afflicted, The judgment of the needy. | 13 Surely the righteous will give thanks to Your name; The upright will dwell in Your presence. | 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence. | 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: The upright shall dwell in thy presence. | 13 But as for the just, they shall give glory to thy name: and the upright shall dwell with thy countenance. | 13 Only -- the righteous give thanks to Thy name, The upright do dwell with Thy presence! |
