A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said, "I love You, O LORD, my strength."1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.1 I love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.1 Unto the end, for David the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord the words of this canticle, in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hands of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. [2 Kings 22.] I will love thee, O Lord, my strength: 1 To the Overseer. -- By a servant of Jehovah, by David, who hath spoken to Jehovah the words of this song in the day Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul, and he saith: -- I love Thee, O Jehovah, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.2 Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.2 The Lord is my firmament, my refuge, and my deliverer. My God is my helper, and in him will I put my trust. My protector and the horn of my salvation, and my support. 2 Jehovah is my rock, and my bulwark, And my deliverer, My God is my rock, I trust in Him: My shield, and a horn of my salvation, My high tower.
3 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.3 I will call upon Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies.3 Praising I will call upon the Lord: and I shall be saved from my enemies. 3 The 'Praised One' I call Jehovah, And from my enemies I am saved.
4 The cords of death encompassed me, And the torrents of ungodliness terrified me.4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.4 The cords of death compassed me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.4 The sorrows of death surrounded me: and the torrents of iniquity troubled me. 4 Compassed me have cords of death, And streams of the worthless make me afraid.
5 The cords of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.5 The cords of Sheol were round about me; The snares of death came upon me.5 The sorrows of hell encompassed me: and the snares of death prevented me. 5 Cords of Sheol have surrounded me, Before me have been snares of death.

20 The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.20 Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.20 And the Lord will reward me according to my justice; and will repay me according to the cleanness of my hands: 20 Jehovah doth recompense me According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.

25 With the kind You show Yourself kind; With the blameless You show Yourself blameless;25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;25 With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; With the perfect man thou wilt show thyself perfect;25 With the holy, thou wilt be holy; and with the innocent man thou wilt be innocent. 25 With the kind Thou showest Thyself kind, With a perfect man showest Thyself perfect.

28 For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness.28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.28 For thou wilt light my lamp: Jehovah my God will lighten my darkness.28 For thou lightest my lamp, O Lord: O my God enlighten my darkness. 28 For Thou -- Thou lightest my lamp, Jehovah my God enlighteneth my darkness.
29 For by You I can run upon a troop; And by my God I can leap over a wall.29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.29 For by thee I run upon a troop; And by my God do I leap over a wall.29 For by thee I shall be delivered from temptation; and through my God I shall go over a wall. 29 For by Thee I run -- a troop! 30 As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.30 As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.30 As for my God, his way is undefiled: the words of the Lord are fire tried: he is the protector of all that trust in him. 30 God! perfect is His way, The saying of Jehovah is tried, A shield is He to all those trusting in Him.

50 He gives great deliverance to His king, And shows lovingkindness to His anointed, To David and his descendants forever.50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king, And showeth lovingkindness to his anointed, To David and to his seed, for evermore. 50 Giving great deliverance to his king, and shewing mercy to David his anointed : and to his seed for ever. 50 Magnifying the salvation of His king, And doing kindness to His anointed, To David, and to his seed -- unto the age!
