NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
For the choir director. A Maskil of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul and said to him, "David has come to the house of Ahimelech." Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God endures all day long.1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God endureth continually.1 Unto the end, understanding for David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul David went to the house of Achimelech Why dost thou glory in malice, thou that art mighty in iniquity? 1 To the Overseer. -- An instruction, by David, in the coming in of Doeg the Edomite, and he declareth to Saul, and saith to him, 'David came in unto the house of Ahimelech.' What, boasteth thou in evil, O mighty one? The kindness of God is all the day.
Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, O worker of deceit.2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.2 Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.2 All the day long thy tongue hath devised injustice: as a sharp razor, thou hast wrought deceit. 2 Mischiefs doth thy tongue devise, Like a sharp razor, working deceit.
You love evil more than good, Falsehood more than speaking what is right. Selah.3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.3 Thou lovest evil more than good, And lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah3 Thou hast loved malice more than goodness: and iniquity rather than to speak righteousness. 3 Thou hast loved evil rather than good, Lying, than speaking righteousness. Selah.
You love all words that devour, O deceitful tongue.4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.4 Thou lovest all devouring words, thou deceitful tongue.4 Thou hast loved all the words of ruin, O deceitful tongue. 4 Thou hast loved all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
But God will break you down forever; He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent, And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah.5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.5 God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living. Selah5 Therefore will God destroy thee for ever: he will pluck thee out, and remove thee from thy dwelling place: and thy root out of the land of the living. 5 Also -- God doth break thee down for ever, Taketh thee, and pulleth thee out of the tent, And He hath uprooted thee Out of the land of the living. Selah.
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
The righteous will see and fear, And will laugh at him, saying,6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:6 The righteous also shall see it , and fear, And shall laugh at him,'saying ,6 The just shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say: 6 And the righteous see, And fear, and laugh at him.
"Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge, But trusted in the abundance of his riches And was strong in his evil desire."7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.7 Behold the man that made not God his helper: But trusted in the abundance of his riches: and prevailed in his vanity. 7 'Lo, the man who maketh not God his strong place, And trusteth in the abundance of his riches, He is strong in his mischiefs.'
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.8 But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.8 But I, as a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, have hoped in the mercy of God for ever, yea for ever and ever. 8 And I, as a green olive in the house of God, I have trusted in the kindness of God, To the age and for ever,
I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it, And I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.9 I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it; And I will hope in thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints. 9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for it is good in the sight of thy saints. 9 I thank Thee to the age, because Thou hast done it, And I wait on Thy name for it is good before Thy saints!
