NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
For the choir director; according to Shushan Eduth. A Mikhtam of David, to teach; when he struggled with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, and Joab returned, and smote twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt. O God, You have rejected us. You have broken us; You have been angry; O, restore us.1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.1 O God thou hast cast us off, thou hast broken us down; Thou hast been angry; oh restore us again.1 Unto the end, for them that shall be changed, for the inscription of a title, to David himself, for doctrine, when he set fire to Mesopotamia of Syria and Sobal and Joab returned and slew of Edom, in the vale of the saltpits, twelve thousand men. O God, thou hast cast us off, and hast destroyed us; thou hast been angry, and hast had mercy on us. 1 To the Overseer. -- 'Concerning the Lily of Testimony,' a secret treasure of David, to teach, in his striving with Aram-Naharaim, and with Aram-Zobah, and Joab turneth back and smiteth Edom in the valley of Salt -- twelve thousand. O God, Thou hadst cast us off, Thou hadst broken us -- hadst been angry! -- Thou dost turn back to us.
You have made the land quake, You have split it open; Heal its breaches, for it totters.2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.2 Thou hast made the land to tremble; thou hast rent it: Heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.2 Thou hast moved the earth, and hast troubled it: heal thou the breaches thereof, for it has been moved. 2 Thou hast caused the land to tremble, Thou hast broken it, Heal its breaches, for it hath moved.
You have made Your people experience hardship; You have given us wine to drink that makes us stagger.3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.3 Thou hast showed thy people hard things: Thou hast made us to drink the wine of staggering.3 Thou hast shewn thy people hard things; thou hast made us drink wine of sorrow. 3 Thou hast shewn Thy people a hard thing, Thou hast caused us to drink wine of trembling.
You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah4 Thou hast given a warning to them that fear thee: that they may flee from before the bow: That thy beloved may be delivered. 4 Thou hast given to those fearing thee an ensign. To be lifted up as an ensign Because of truth. Selah.
That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and answer us!5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.5 That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer us.5 Save me with thy right hand, and hear me. 5 That Thy beloved ones may be drawn out, Save with Thy right hand, and answer us.
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
God has spoken in His holiness: "I will exult, I will portion out Shechem and measure out the valley of Succoth.6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.6 God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.6 God hath spoken in his holy place: I will rejoice, and I will divide Sichem; and will mete out the vale of tabernacles. 6 God hath spoken in His holiness: I exult -- I apportion Shechem, And the valley of Succoth I measure,
"Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; Judah is My scepter.7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of my head; Judah is my sceptre.7 Galaad is mine, and Manasses is mine: and Ephraim is the strength of my head. Juda is my king: 7 Mine is Gilead, and mine is Manasseh, And Ephraim is the strength of my head, Judah is my lawgiver,
"Moab is My washbowl; Over Edom I shall throw My shoe; Shout loud, O Philistia, because of Me!"8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.8 Moab is my washpot; Upon Edom will I cast my shoe: Philistia, shout thou because of me.8 Moab is the pot of my hope. Into Edom will I stretch out my shoe: to me the foreigners are made subject. 8 Moab is my pot for washing, over Edom I cast my shoe, Shout, concerning me, O Philistia.
Who will bring me into the besieged city? Who will lead me to Edom?9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?9 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who hath led me unto Edom?9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? 9 Who doth bring me to a city of bulwarks? Who hath led me unto Edom?
Have not You Yourself, O God, rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, O God?10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?10 Hast not thou, O God, cast us off? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.10 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go out with our armies? 10 Is it not Thou, O God? hast Thou cast us off? And dost Thou not go forth, O God, with our hosts!
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
O give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain.11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.11 Give us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man.11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the salvation of man. 11 Give to us help from adversity, And vain is the deliverance of man.
Through God we shall do valiantly, And it is He who will tread down our adversaries.12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.12 Through God we shall do valiantly; For he it is that will tread down our adversaries. 12 Through God we shall do mightily: and he shall bring to nothing them that afflict us. 12 In God we do mightily, And He treadeth down our adversaries!
