The Death of Moses | ||||
NASB | KJV | ASV | DRB | YLT |
| 1 Now Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan, | 1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, | 1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And Jehovah showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, | 1 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab upon mount Nebo, to the top of Phasga over against Jericho: and the Lord shewed him all the land of Galaad as far as Dan. | 1 And Moses goeth up from the plains of Moab unto mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah, which is on the front of Jericho, and Jehovah sheweth him all the land -- Gilead unto Dan, | 2 and all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the western sea, | 2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, | 2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the hinder sea, | 2 And all Nephtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasses, and all the land of Juda unto the furthermost sea, | 2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah unto the further sea, | 3 and the Negev and the plain in the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. | 3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. | 3 and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm-trees, unto Zoar. | 3 And the south part, and the breadth of the plain of Jericho the city of palm trees as far as Segor. | 3 and the south, and the circuit of the valley of Jericho, the city of palms, unto Zoar. | 4 Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your descendants'; I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there." | 4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. | 4 And Jehovah said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. | 4 And the Lord said to him: This is the land, for which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to thy seed. Thou hast seen it with thy eyes, and shalt not pass over to it. | 4 And Jehovah saith unto him, 'This is the land which I have sworn to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, To thy seed I give it; I have caused thee to see with thine eyes, and thither thou dost not pass over.' | 5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. | 5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. | 5 So Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Jehovah. | 5 And Moses the servant of the Lord died there, in the land of Moab, by the commandment of the Lord: | 5 And Moses, servant of the Lord, dieth there, in the land of Moab, according to the command of Jehovah; | NASB | KJV | ASV | DRB | YLT |
| 6 And He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; but no man knows his burial place to this day. | 6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. | 6 And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. | 6 And he buried him in the valley of the land of Moab over against Phogor: and no man hath known of his sepulchre until this present day. | 6 and He burieth him in a valley in the land of Moab, over-against Beth-Peor, and no man hath known his burying place unto this day. | 7 Although Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eye was not dim, nor his vigor abated. | 7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. | 7 And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. | 7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, neither were his teeth moved. | 7 And Moses is a son of a hundred and twenty years when he dieth; his eye hath not become dim, nor hath his moisture fled. | 8 So the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end. | 8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. | 8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended. | 8 And the children of Israel mourned for him in the plains of Moab thirty days: and the days of their mourning in which they mourned for Moses were ended. | 8 And the sons of Israel bewail Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; and the days of weeping and mourning for Moses are completed. | 9 Now Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israel listened to him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses. | 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. | 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as Jehovah commanded Moses. | 9 And Josue the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands upon him. And the children of Israel obeyed him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses. | 9 And Joshua son of Nun is full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him, and the sons of Israel hearken unto him, and do as Jehovah commanded Moses. | 10 Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, | 10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, | 10 And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom Jehovah knew face to face, | 10 And there arose no more a prophet in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, | 10 And there hath not arisen a prophet any more in Israel like Moses, whom Jehovah hath known face unto face, | NASB | KJV | ASV | DRB | YLT |
| 11 for all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land, | 11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, | 11 in all the signs and the wonders, which Jehovah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, | 11 In all the signs and wonders, which he sent by him, to do in the land of Egypt to Pharao, and to all his servants, and to his whole land, | 11 in reference to all the signs and the wonders which Jehovah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, | 12 and for all the mighty power and for all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel. | 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel. | 12 and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel. | 12 And all the mighty hand, and great miracles, which Moses did before all Israel. | 12 and in reference to all the strong hand, and to all the great fear which Moses did before the eyes of all Israel. |
