 and Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife.20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian, to be his wife.20 Who when he was forty years old, took to wife Rebecca the daughter of Bathuel the Syrian of Mesopotamia, sister to Laban. 20 and Isaac is a son of forty years in his taking Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean, from Padan-Aram, sister of Laban the Aramaean, to him for a wife.
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived.21 And Isaac entreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.21 And Isaac entreated Jehovah for his wife, because she was barren. And Jehovah was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.21 And Isaac besought the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and he heard him, and made Rebecca to conceive. 21 And Isaac maketh entreaty to Jehovah before his wife, for she is barren: and Jehovah is entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiveth,
 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If it is so, why then am I this way?" So she went to inquire of the LORD.22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of the LORD.22 And the children struggled together within her. And she said, If it be so, wherefore do I live? And she went to inquire of Jehovah.22 But the children struggled in her womb: and she said: If it were to be so with me, what need was there to conceive? And she went to consult the Lord. 22 and the children struggle together within her, and she saith, 'If it is right -- why am I thus?' and she goeth to seek Jehovah.
 The LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb; And two peoples will be separated from your body; And one people shall be stronger than the other; And the older shall serve the younger."23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.23 And Jehovah said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels. And the one people shall be stronger than the other people. And the elder shall serve the younger.23 And he answering said: Two nations are in thy womb, and two peoples shall be divided out of thy womb, and one people shall overcome the other, and the elder shall serve the younger. 23 And Jehovah saith to her, 'Two nations are in thy womb, and two peoples from thy bowels are parted; and the one people than the other people is stronger; and the elder doth serve the younger.'
 When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.24 And when her time was come to be delivered, behold twins were found in her womb. 24 And her days to bear are fulfilled, and lo, twins are in her womb;
 Now the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau.25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.25 And the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment. And they called his name Esau.25 He that came forth first was red, and hairy like a skin: and his name was called Esau. Immediately the other coming forth, held his brother's foot in his hand, and therefore he was called Jacob. 25 and the first cometh out all red as a hairy robe, and they call his name Esau;
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 Afterward his brother came forth with his hand holding on to Esau's heel, so his name was called Jacob; and Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.26 And after that came forth his brother, and his hand had hold on Esau's heel. And his name was called Jacob. And Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.26 Isaac was threescore years old when the children were born unto him. 26 and afterwards hath his brother come out, and his hand is taking hold on Esau's heel, and one calleth his name Jacob; and Isaac is a son of sixty years in her bearing them.
 When the boys grew up, Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the field, but Jacob was a peaceful man, living in tents.27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.27 And the boys grew. And Esau was a skilful hunter, a man of the field. And Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents.27 And when they were grown up, Esau became a skillful hunter, and a husbandman, but Jacob a plain man dwelt in tents. 27 And the youths grew, and Esau is a man acquainted with hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob is a plain man, inhabiting tents;
 Now Isaac loved Esau, because he had a taste for game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.28 Now Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison. And Rebekah loved Jacob.28 Isaac loved Esau, because he ate of his hunting: and Rebecca loved Jacob. 28 and Isaac loveth Esau, for his hunting is in his mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob.
 When Jacob had cooked stew, Esau came in from the field and he was famished;29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:29 And Jacob boiled pottage. And Esau came in from the field, and he was faint.29 And Jacob boiled Pottage: to whom Esau, coming faint out of the field, 29 And Jacob boileth pottage, and Esau cometh in from the field, and he is weary;
 and Esau said to Jacob, "Please let me have a swallow of that red stuff there, for I am famished." Therefore his name was called Edom.30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage . For I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom.30 Said: Give me of this red pottage, for I am exceeding faint. For which reason his name was called Edom. 30 and Esau saith unto Jacob, 'Let me eat, I pray thee, some of this red red thing, for I am weary;' therefore hath one called his name Edom Red;
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 But Jacob said, "First sell me your birthright."31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.31 And Jacob said, Sell me first thy birthright.31 And Jacob said to him: Sell me thy first birthright. 31 and Jacob saith, 'Sell to-day thy birthright to me.'
 Esau said, "Behold, I am about to die; so of what use then is the birthright to me?"32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?32 And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die. And what profit shall the birthright do to me?32 He answered: Lo I die, what will the first birthright avail me. 32 And Esau saith, 'Lo, I am going to die, and what is this to me -- birthright?'
 And Jacob said, "First swear to me"; so he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.33 And Jacob said, Swear to me first. And he sware unto him. And he sold his birthright unto Jacob.33 Jacob said: Swear therefore to me. Esau swore to him, and sold his first birthright. 33 and Jacob saith, 'Swear to me to-day:' and he sweareth to him, and selleth his birthright to Jacob;
 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew; and he ate and drank, and rose and went on his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.34 And Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils. And he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way. So Esau despised his birthright.34 And so taking bread and the pottage of lentils, he ate, and drank, and went his way; making little account of having sold his first birthright. 34 and Jacob hath given to Esau bread and pottage of lentiles, and he eateth, and drinketh, and riseth, and goeth; and Esau despiseth the birthright.
