The Glorious Future
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
Behold, a king will reign righteously And princes will rule justly.1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.1 BEHOLD a king shall reign in justice, and princes shell rule in judgment. 1 Lo, for righteousness doth a king reign, As to princes, for judgment they rule.
Each will be like a refuge from the wind And a shelter from the storm, Like streams of water in a dry country, Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land.2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.2 And a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a great rock in a weary land.2 And a man shall be as when one is hid from the wind, and hideth himself from a storm, as rivers of waters in drought, and the shadow of a rock that standeth out in a desert land. 2 And each hath been as a hiding-place from wind, And as a secret hiding-place from inundation, As rivulets of waters in a dry place, As a shadow of a heavy rock in a weary land.
Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, And the ears of those who hear will listen.3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.3 The eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken diligently. 3 And not dazzled are the eyes of beholders, And the ears of hearers do attend.
The mind of the hasty will discern the truth, And the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak clearly.4 The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.4 And the heart of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.4 And the heart of fools shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of stammerers shall speak readily and plain. 4 And the heart of those hastened Understandeth to know, And the tongue of stammerers hasteth to speak clearly.
No longer will the fool be called noble, Or the rogue be spoken of as generous.5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.5 The fool shall be no more called noble, nor the churl said to be bountiful.5 The fool shall no more be called prince: neither shall the deceitful be called great: 5 A fool is no more called 'noble,' And to a miser it is not said, 'rich;'
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
For a fool speaks nonsense, And his heart inclines toward wickedness: To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the LORD, To keep the hungry person unsatisfied And to withhold drink from the thirsty.6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.6 For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise profaneness, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.6 For the fool will speak foolish things, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and speak to the Lord deceitfully, and to make empty the soul of the hungry, and take away drink from the thirsty. 6 For a fool speaketh folly, And his heart doth iniquity, to do profanity, And to speak concerning Jehovah error, To empty the soul of the hungry, Yea, drink of the thirsty he causeth to lack.
As for a rogue, his weapons are evil; He devises wicked schemes To destroy the afflicted with slander, Even though the needy one speaks what is right.7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.7 And the instruments of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the meek with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.7 The vessels of the deceitful are most wicked: for he hath framed devices to destroy the meek, with lying words, when the poor man speaketh judgment. 7 And the miser -- his instruments are evil, He hath counselled wicked devices, To corrupt the poor with lying sayings, Even when the needy speaketh justly.
But the noble man devises noble plans; And by noble plans he stands.8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.8 But the noble deviseth noble things; and in noble things shall he continue.8 But the prince will devise such things as are worthy of a prince, and he shah stand above the rulers. 8 And the noble counselled noble things, And he for noble things riseth up.
Rise up, you women who are at ease, And hear my voice; Give ear to my word, You complacent daughters.9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease, and hear my voice; ye careless daughters, give ear unto my speech.9 Rise up, ye rich women, and hear my voice: ye confident daughters, give ear to my speech. 9 Women, easy ones, rise, hear my voice, Daughters, confident ones, give ear to my saying,
Within a year and a few days You will be troubled, O complacent daughters; For the vintage is ended, And the fruit gathering will not come.10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.10 For days beyond a year shall ye be troubled, ye careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the ingathering shall not come.10 For after days and a year, you that are confident shall be troubled: for the vintage is at an end, the gathering shall come no more. 10 Days and a year ye are troubled, O confident ones, For consumed hath been harvest, The gathering cometh not.
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
Tremble, you women who are at ease; Be troubled, you complacent daughters; Strip, undress and put sackcloth on your waist,11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones; strip you, and make you bare, and gird'sackcloth upon your loins.11 Be astonished, ye rich women, be troubled, ye confident ones: strip yen, and be confounded, gird your loins. 11 Tremble ye women, ye easy ones, Be troubled, ye confident ones, Strip and make bare, with a girdle on the loins,
Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine,12 They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.12 They shall smite upon the breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.12 Mourn for your breasts, for the delightful country, for the fruitful vineyard. 12 For breasts they are lamenting, For fields of desire, for the fruitful vine.
For the land of my people in which thorns and briars shall come up; Yea, for all the joyful houses and for the jubilant city.13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city.13 Upon the land of my people shall thorns and briers come up: how much more upon all the houses of joy, of the city that rejoiced? 13 Over the ground of my people thorn -- brier goeth up, Surely over all houses of joy of the exulting city,
 Because the palace has been abandoned, the populated city forsaken. Hill and watch-tower have become caves forever, A delight for wild donkeys, a pasture for flocks;14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;14 For the palace shall be forsaken; the populous city shall be deserted; the hill and the watch-tower shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;14 For the house is forsaken, the multitude of the city is left, darkness and obscurity are come upon its dens for ever. A joy of wild asses, the pastures of docks, 14 Surely the palace hath been left, The multitude of the city forsaken, Fort and watch-tower hath been for dens unto the age, A joy of wild asses -- a pasture of herds;
Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fertile field, And the fertile field is considered as a forest.15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.15 until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness become a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest.15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high: and the desert shall be se a charmel, and charmel shall be counted for a forest. 15 Till emptied out on us is the Spirit from on high, And a wilderness hath become a fruitful field, And the fruitful field for a forest is reckoned.
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
Then justice will dwell in the wilderness And righteousness will abide in the fertile field.16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.16 Then justice shall dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness shall abide in the fruitful field.16 And judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and justice shall sit in charmel. 16 And dwelt in the wilderness hath judgment, And righteousness in the fruitful field remaineth.
And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence for ever.17 And the work of justice shall be peace, and the service of justice quietness, and security for ever. 17 And a work of the righteousness hath been peace, And a service of the righteousness -- Keeping quiet and confidence unto the age.
Then my people will live in a peaceful habitation, And in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places;18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;18 And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.18 And my people shall sit in the beauty of peace, and in the tabernacles of confidence, and in wealthy rest. 18 And dwelt hath My people in a peaceful habitation, And in stedfast tabernacles, And in quiet resting-places.
And it will hail when the forest comes down, And the city will be utterly laid low.19 When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.19 But it shall hail in the downfall of the forest; and the city shall be utterly laid low.19 But hail shall be in the descent of the forest, and the city shall be made very low. 19 And it hath hailed in the going down of the forest, And in the valley is the city low.
How blessed will you be, you who sow beside all waters, Who let out freely the ox and the donkey.20 Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.20 Blessed are yet that sow beside all waters, that send forth the feet of the ox and the ass.20 Blessed are ye that sow upon all waters, sending thither the foot of the ox and the ass. 20 Happy are ye sowing by all waters, Sending forth the foot of the ox and the ass!
