1 A Maskil of Asaph. O God, why have You rejected us forever? Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?1 O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?1 O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? Why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?1 Understanding for Asaph. O God, why hast thou cast us off unto the end: why is thy wrath enkindled against the sheep of thy pasture? 1 An Instruction of Asaph. Why, O God, hast Thou cast off for ever? Thine anger smoketh against the flock of Thy pasture.
2 Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, Which You have redeemed to be the tribe of Your inheritance; And this Mount Zion, where You have dwelt.2 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.2 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast gotten of old, Which thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of thine inheritance; And mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.2 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast possessed from the beginning. The sceptre of thy inheritance which thou hast redeemed: mount Sion in which thou hast dwelt. 2 Remember Thy company. Thou didst purchase of old, Thou didst redeem the rod of Thy inheritance, This mount Zion -- Thou didst dwell in it.
3 Turn Your footsteps toward the perpetual ruins; The enemy has damaged everything within the sanctuary.3 Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.3 Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual ruins, All the evil that the enemy hath done in the sanctuary.3 Lift up thy hands against their pride unto the end; see what things the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. 3 Lift up Thy steps to the perpetual desolations, Everything the enemy did wickedly in the sanctuary.
4 Your adversaries have roared in the midst of Your meeting place; They have set up their own standards for signs.4 Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.4 Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of thine assembly; They have set up their ensigns for signs.4 And they that hate thee have made their boasts, in the midst of thy solemnity. They have set up their ensigns for signs, 4 Roared have thine adversaries, In the midst of Thy meeting-places, They have set their ensigns as ensigns.
5 It seems as if one had lifted up His axe in a forest of trees.5 A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.5 They seemed as men that lifted up Axes upon a thicket of trees.5 and they knew not both in the going out and on the highest top. As with axes in a wood of trees, 5 He is known as one bringing in on high Against a thicket of wood -- axes.

7 They have burned Your sanctuary to the ground; They have defiled the dwelling place of Your name.7 They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.7 They have set thy sanctuary on fire; They have profaned the dwelling-place of thy name by casting it to the ground.7 They have set fire to thy sanctuary: they have defiled the dwelling place of thy name on the earth. 7 They have sent into fire Thy sanctuary, to the earth they polluted the tabernacle of Thy name,
8 They said in their heart, "Let us completely subdue them." They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.8 They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.8 They said in their heart, Let us make havoc of them altogether: They have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.8 They said in their heart, the whole kindred of them together: Let us abolish all the festival days of God from the land. 8 They said in their hearts, 'Let us oppress them together,' They did burn all the meeting-places of God in the land.
9 We do not see our signs; There is no longer any prophet, Nor is there any among us who knows how long.9 We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.9 We see not our signs: There is no more any prophet; Neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.9 Our signs we have not seen, there is now no prophet: and he will know us no more. 9 Our ensigns we have not seen, There is no more a prophet, Nor with us is one knowing how long.
10 How long, O God, will the adversary revile, And the enemy spurn Your name forever?10 O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?10 How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?10 How long, O God, shall the enemy reproach: is the adversary to provoke thy name for ever? 10 Till when, O God, doth an adversary reproach? From the midst of Thy bosom remove it.

19 Do not deliver the soul of Your turtledove to the wild beast; Do not forget the life of Your afflicted forever.19 O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.19 Oh deliver not the soul of thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast: Forget not the life of thy poor for ever.19 Deliver not up to beasts the souls that confess to thee: and forget not to the end the souls of thy poor. 19 Give not up to a company, The soul of Thy turtle-dove, The company of Thy poor ones forget not for ever.

23 Do not forget the voice of Your adversaries, The uproar of those who rise against You which ascends continually.23 Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.23 Forget not the voice of thine adversaries: The tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually. 23 Forget not the voices of thy enemies: the pride of them that hate thee ascendeth continually. 23 Forget not the voice of Thine adversaries, The noise of Thy withstanders is going up continually!
