“Difficult Times Will Come”
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.1 But know this, that in the last days grievous times shall come.1 Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times. 1 And this know thou, that in the last days there shall come perilous times,
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,2 For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,2 Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked, 2 for men shall be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, evil-speakers, to parents disobedient, unthankful, unkind,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,3 without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,3 Without affection, without peace, slanderers, incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness, 3 without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, not lovers of those who are good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;4 traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;4 Traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasures more than of God: 4 traitors, heady, lofty, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore. From these also turn away.5 Having an appearance indeed of godliness, but denying the power thereof. Now these avoid. 5 having a form of piety, and its power having denied; and from these be turning away,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,6 For of these are they that creep into houses, and take captive silly women laden with sins, led away by divers lusts,6 For of these sort are they who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, who are led away with divers desires: 6 for of these there are those coming into the houses and leading captive the silly women, laden with sins, led away with desires manifold,
7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.7 ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.7 Ever learning, and never attaining to the knowledge of the truth. 7 always learning, and never to a knowledge of truth able to come,
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.8 And even as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth. Men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.8 Now as Jannes and Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith. 8 and, even as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, so also these do stand against the truth, men corrupted in mind, disapproved concerning the faith;
9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes's and Jambres's folly was also.9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.9 But they shall proceed no further. For their folly shall be evident unto all men, as theirs also came to be.9 But they shall proceed no farther; for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as theirs also was. 9 but they shall not advance any further, for their folly shall be manifest to all, as theirs also did become.
10 Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,10 But thou didst follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience, 10 And thou -- thou hast followed after my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, endurance,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.11 persecutions, sufferings. What things befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.11 Persecutions, afflictions: such as came upon me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra: what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me. 11 the persecutions, the afflictions, that befell me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of all the Lord did deliver me,
12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.12 Yea, and all that would live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.12 And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall suffer persecution. 12 and all also who will to live piously in Christ Jesus shall be persecuted,
13 But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.13 But evil men and impostors shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.13 But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse: erring, and driving into error. 13 and evil men and impostors shall advance to the worse, leading astray and being led astray.
14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them,14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;14 But abide thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.14 But continue thou in those things which thou hast learned, and which have been committed to thee: knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 14 And thou -- be remaining in the things which thou didst learn and wast entrusted with, having known from whom thou didst learn,
15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.15 And that from a babe thou hast known the sacred writings which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.15 And because from thy infancy thou hast known the holy scriptures, which can instruct thee to salvation, by the faith which is in Christ Jesus. 15 and because from a babe the Holy Writings thou hast known, which are able to make thee wise -- to salvation, through faith that is in Christ Jesus;
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:16 Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness.16 All scripture, inspired of God, is profitable to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in justice, 16 every Writing is God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for setting aright, for instruction that is in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.17 That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.17 That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work. 17 that the man of God may be fitted -- for every good work having been completed.
