NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,1 The Baldad the Suhite answered, and said: 1 And Bildad the Shuhite answereth and saith: --
"How long will you say these things, And the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?2 How long wilt thou speak these things? And how long'shall the words of thy mouth be like a mighty wind?2 How long wilt thou speak these things, and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind? 2 Till when dost thou speak these things? And a strong wind -- sayings of thy mouth?
"Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?3 Doth God pervert justice? Or doth the Almighty pervert righteousness?3 Doth God pervert judgment, or doth the Almighty overthrow that which is just? 3 Doth God pervert judgment? And doth the Mighty One pervert justice?
"If your sons sinned against Him, Then He delivered them into the power of their transgression.4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;4 If thy children have sinned against him, And he hath delivered them into the hand of their transgression;4 Although thy children have sinned against him, and he hath left them in the hand of their iniquity: 4 If thy sons have sinned before Him, And He doth send them away, By the hand of their transgression,
"If you would seek God And implore the compassion of the Almighty,5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;5 If thou wouldest seek diligently unto God, And make thy supplication to the Almighty;5 Yet if thou wilt arise early to God, and wilt beseech the Almighty: 5 If thou dost seek early unto God, And unto the Mighty makest supplication,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
If you are pure and upright, Surely now He would rouse Himself for you And restore your righteous estate.6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.6 If thou wert pure and upright: Surely now he would awake for thee, And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.6 If thou wilt walk clean and upright, he will presently awake onto thee, and will make the dwelling of thy justice peaceable: 6 If pure and upright thou art, Surely now He waketh for thee, And hath completed The habitation of thy righteousness.
"Though your beginning was insignificant, Yet your end will increase greatly.7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.7 And though thy beginning was small, Yet thy latter end would greatly increase.7 Insomuch, that if thy former things were small, thy latter things would be multiplied exceedingly. 7 And thy beginning hath been small, And thy latter end is very great.
"Please inquire of past generations, And consider the things searched out by their fathers.8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:8 For inquire, I pray thee, of the former age, And apply thyself to that which their fathers have searched out:8 For inquire of the former generation, and search diligently into the memory of the fathers: 8 For, ask I pray thee of a former generation, And prepare to a search of their fathers,
"For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are as a shadow.9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, Because our days upon earth are a shadow);9 (For we are but of yesterday, and are ignorant that our days upon earth are but a shadow:) 9 (For of yesterday we are, and we know not, For a shadow are our days on earth.)
"Will they not teach you and tell you, And bring forth words from their minds?10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, And utter words out of their heart?10 And they shall teach thee: they shall speak to thee, and utter words out of their hearts. 10 Do they not shew thee -- speak to thee, And from their heart bring forth words?
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
"Can the papyrus grow up without a marsh? Can the rushes grow without water?11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?11 Can the rush grow up without mire? Can the flag grow without water?11 Can the rush be green without moisture? or a sedge-bush grow without water? 11 'Doth a rush wise without mire? A reed increase without water?
"While it is still green and not cut down, Yet it withers before any other plant.12 Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.12 Whilst it is yet in its greenness, and not cut down, It withereth before any other herb.12 When it is yet in flower, and is not plucked up with the hand, it withereth before all herbs. 12 While it is in its budding -- uncropped, Even before any herb it withereth.
"So are the paths of all who forget God; And the hope of the godless will perish,13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:13 So are the paths of all that forget God; And the hope of the godless man shall perish:13 Even so are the ways of all that forget God, and the hope of the hypocrite shall perish: 13 So are the paths of all forgetting God, And the hope of the profane doth perish,
Whose confidence is fragile, And whose trust a spider's web.14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.14 Whose confidence shall break in sunder, And whose trust is a spider's web.14 His folly shall not please him, and his trust shall be like the spider's web. 14 Whose confidence is loathsome, And the house of a spider his trust.
"He trusts in his house, but it does not stand; He holds fast to it, but it does not endure.15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: He shall hold fast thereby, but it shall not endure.15 He shall lean upon his house, and it shall not stand: he shall prop it up, and it shall not rise: 15 He leaneth on his house -- and it standeth not: He taketh hold on it -- and it abideth not.
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
"He thrives before the sun, And his shoots spread out over his garden.16 He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.16 He is green before the sun, And his shoots go forth over his garden.16 He seemeth to have moisture before the sun cometh, and at his rising his blossom shall shoot forth. 16 Green he is before the sun, And over his garden his branch goeth out.
"His roots wrap around a rock pile, He grasps a house of stones.17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.17 His roots are wrapped about the'stone -heap, He beholdeth the place of stones.17 His roots shall be thick upon a heap of stones, and among the stones he shall abide. 17 By a heap his roots are wrapped, A house of stones he looketh for.
"If he is removed from his place, Then it will deny him, saying, 'I never saw you.'18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.18 If he be destroyed from his place, Then it shall deny him,'saying , I have not seen thee.18 If one swallow him up out of his place, he shall deny him, and shall say: I know thee not. 18 If one doth destroy him from his place, Then it hath feigned concerning him, I have not seen thee!
"Behold, this is the joy of His way; And out of the dust others will spring.19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.19 Behold, this is the joy of his way; And out of the earth shall others spring.19 For this is the joy of his way, that others may spring again out of the earth. 19 Lo, this is the joy of his way, And from the dust others spring up.'
"Lo, God will not reject a man of integrity, Nor will He support the evildoers.20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, Neither will he uphold the evil-doers.20 God will not cast away the simple, nor reach out his hand to the evildoer: 20 Lo, God doth not reject the perfect, Nor taketh hold on the hand of evil doers.
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
"He will yet fill your mouth with laughter And your lips with shouting.21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.21 He will yet fill thy mouth with laughter, And thy lips with shouting.21 Until thy mouth be filled with laughter, and thy lips with rejoicing. 21 While he filleth with laughter thy mouth, And thy lips with shouting,
"Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, And the tent of the wicked will be no longer."22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; And the tent of the wicked shall be no more.22 They that hate thee, shall be clothed with confusion: and the dwelling of the wicked shall not stand. 22 Those hating thee do put on shame, And the tent of the wicked is not!
