Misleadings in Doctrine and Living
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus, who is our hope,1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus our hope;1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the commandment of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus our hope: 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Saviour, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
 To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.2 unto Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.2 To Timothy, his beloved son in faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 to Timotheus -- genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord,
 As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines,3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,3 As I exhorted thee to tarry at Ephesus, when I was going into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge certain men not to teach a different doctrine,3 As I desired thee to remain at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some not to teach otherwise, 3 according as I did exhort thee to remain in Ephesus -- I going on to Macedonia -- that thou mightest charge certain not to teach any other thing,
 nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith.4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.4 neither to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questionings, rather than a dispensation of God which is in faith;'so do I now .4 Not to give heed to fables and endless genealogies: which furnish questions rather than the edification of God, which is in faith. 4 nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than the building up of God that is in faith: --
 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:5 But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity, from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and an unfeigned faith. 5 And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion,6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;6 from which things some having swerved have turned aside unto vain talking;6 From which things some going astray, are turned aside unto vain babbling: 6 from which certain, having swerved, did turn aside to vain discourse,
 wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.7 desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor whereof they confidently affirm.7 Desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither the things they say, nor whereof they affirm. 7 willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they asseverate,
 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully,8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully,8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully: 8 and we have known that the law is good, if any one may use it lawfully;
 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for the just man, but for the unjust and disobedient, for the ungodly, and for sinners, for the wicked and defiled, for murderers of fathers, and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 9 having known this, that for a righteous man law is not set, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, parricides and matricides, men-slayers,
 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;10 for fornicators, for abusers of themselves with men, for menstealers, for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;10 For fornicators, for them who defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and whatever other thing is contrary to sound doctrine, 10 whoremongers, sodomites, men-stealers, liars, perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that to sound doctrine is adverse,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.11 according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.11 Which is according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which hath been committed to my trust. 11 according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service,12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;12 I thank him that enabled me, even Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he counted me faithful, appointing me to his'service;12 I give thanks who hath strengthened me, even to Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he hath counted me faithful, putting me in the ministry; 12 And I give thanks to him who enabled me -- Christ Jesus our Lord -- that he did reckon me stedfast, having put me to the ministration,
 even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief;13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.13 though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;13 Who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and contumelious. But I obtained the mercy of God, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 13 who before was speaking evil, and persecuting, and insulting, but I found kindness, because, being ignorant, I did it in unbelief,
 and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.14 and the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.14 Now the grace of our Lord hath abounded exceedingly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus. 14 and exceedingly abound did the grace of our Lord, with faith and love that is in Christ Jesus:
 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.15 Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:15 A faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief. 15 stedfast is the word, and of all acceptation worthy, that Christ Jesus came to the world to save sinners -- first of whom I am;

 Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.16 howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ show forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them that should thereafter believe on him unto eternal life.16 But for this cause have I obtained mercy: that in me first Christ Jesus might shew forth all patience, for the information of them that shall believe in him unto life everlasting. 16 but because of this I found kindness, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all long-suffering, for a pattern of those about to believe on him to life age-during:
 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.17 Now to the king of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 17 and to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, is honour and glory -- to the ages of the ages! Amen.
 This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight,18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;18 This charge I commit unto thee, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which led the way to thee, that by them thou mayest war the good warfare;18 This precept I commend to thee, O son Timothy; according to the prophecies going before on thee, that thou war in them a good warfare, 18 This charge I commit to thee, child Timotheus, according to the prophesies that went before upon thee, that thou mayest war in them the good warfare,
 keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:19 holding faith and a good conscience; which some having thrust from them made shipwreck concerning the faith:19 Having faith and a good conscience, which some rejecting have made shipwreck concerning the faith. 19 having faith and a good conscience, which certain having thrust away, concerning the faith did make shipwreck,
 Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme.20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.20 of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I delivered unto Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.20 Of whom is Hymeneus and Alexander, whom I have delivered up to Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme. 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I did deliver to the Adversary, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
