| 1 A Song of Ascents. Remember, O LORD, on David's behalf, All his affliction; | 1 Lord, remember David, and all his afflictions: | 1 Jehovah, remember for David All his affliction; | 1 O Lord, remember David, and all his meekness. | 1 A Song of the Ascents. Remember, Jehovah, for David, all his afflictions. | 2 How he swore to the LORD And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob, | 2 How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob; | 2 How he sware unto Jehovah, And vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob: | 2 How he swore to the Lord, he vowed a vow to the God of Jacob: | 2 Who hath sworn to Jehovah. He hath vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: | 3 "Surely I will not enter my house, Nor lie on my bed; | 3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; | 3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, Nor go up into my bed; | 3 If I shall enter into the tabernacle of my house: if I shall go up into the bed wherein I lie: | 3 'If I enter into the tent of my house, If I go up on the couch of my bed, | 4 I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, | 4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, | 4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, Or slumber to mine eyelids; | 4 If I shall give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids, | 4 If I give sleep to mine eyes, To mine eyelids -- slumber, | 5 Until I find a place for the LORD, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob." | 5 Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob. | 5 Until I find out a place for Jehovah, A tabernacle for the Mighty One of Jacob. | 5 Or rest to my temples: until I find out a place for the Lord, a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. | 5 Till I do find a place for Jehovah, Tabernacles for the Mighty One of Jacob. | NASB | KJV | ASV | DRB | YLT |
