| 1 Hear this word which I take up for you as a dirge, O house of Israel: | 1 Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel. | 1 Hear ye this word which I take up for a lamentation over you, O house of Israel. | 1 Hear ye this word, which I take up concerning you for a lamentation. The house of Israel is fallen, and it shall rise no more. | 1 Hear this word that I am bearing to you, A lamentation, O house of Israel: | 2 She has fallen, she will not rise again-- The virgin Israel. | 16 Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the Lord, "There is wailing in all the plazas, And in all the streets they say, 'Alas! Alas!'
